Hotel Rooms Closed

Attention:

The Broward County Health Department has closed down many of the Hotel's rooms as of today May 11, 2011.

Frank is in deep doodoo now!

Maybe with all the money Prez Charlie saved us.....$525,000.00 is the figure according to the minutes from the Bored meeting (Yes, Bored).....maybe we can buy the rooms from Frank.

They must think we're stupid like they are.

First Frank and Charlie we're robbing together now Charlie is acting like he saved us money?

Show us the money then we'll believe you.

New Entry Doors?

The May 3, 2011 Agenda includes Item IID: "Unit Owners to Replace Their Entry Doors." The Blog Team believes that entry door replacement is a good idea, depending on the purchase method.

Some years ago we approached hmm, was it Darlene or Suzy? Not sure. Anyway, we said that we were speculating about replacig our entry door. She told us to "hold off" because the Board was considering a programmed replacement plan. Well that never materialized, but the issue has now resurfaced.

In spite of the fact that the doors have been painted from time to time, they are old and in pretty shabby condition. They are one of the first things that our guests see as they walk down the hallways, and, therefore, they shape a first impression of the OM. And then there is the safety and security issues.

A programmed replacement - as opposed to individual purchases - that can take advantage of quantity discounts is the only way to proceed, in our opinion.

Now the last thing that unit owners need these days is to get hit with a huge assessment. So we favor a method similar to that which funded the window project: Shop for the best loan terms, and amortise payments over a five year period.

Ocean Manor reviews???​???????

OMG the reviews of the hotel were absolutely horrendous! But they were old, 2009ish. What is the deal with this Ft Lauderdale complex? I can find no reviews of any of the individual units on any of the several that are being offered on the various rental spots.

Is anyone willing to help save our investment? Fort Lauderdale Real Estate - Realtor.comR

I was wondering how our investment was doing,... I looked up our address on Realtor.com and I noticed that there are approximately 20 units for sale. Some really, really cheap owned by Board members(what do they know?). Is that because our finances are in such terrible shape?

Is there anyone willing to run For the Board and help turn our building around? The rape of our building, and wallets has affected us all. If people would be willing to run, hire an outside management company, and a real accountant the positions would be of a supervisory nature, and we might have a shot of keeping our building.....
