ANOTHER Increased Maintenance Assessment

Hello everyone.

I just received the latest email from Norman regarding ANOTHER increased maintenance assessment for the next two months. Am I the only one who feels like the owners who have already paid for their windows in full are now also responsible to "make up" the balance owed to General Bronze for the other owners who did not pay ANYTHING WHATSOEVER for their windows? This is ridiculous and I'm sick of Frank and incompetence with how to run a hotel and expecting us to cover for his mistakes.

I am interested in seeing what other owners think. I have had my unit up for sale for over 2 years and had no interest. I know the market is really bad, so at this point, I would just like to sell it at a big loss and just get out all together. If anyone knows of anyone that is looking to buy in the Ocean Manor, please let me know. Thanks. Marian Hite, Unit 501.

  1. Yes it is imcompetence and a disgrace.
The window project shouldn't have started till ALL monies were paid!
But no, Frank had to have his way, so now WE pay for it.
Frank doesn't the first thing about running a "Hotel."
Everything is done in such a low class shady manner and this ridiculous assessment just proves it all the more.
No one wants to buy here, as the builing is run very ship shod.
We need an honest and ethical Board WITH no self interest or gain.
Stay strong Marian as soon the tide will turn.

  2. I agree with both of you. There is no accountibility in writing by Frank and his group about our finances. Who can trust where our assessment money would be REALLY going. And who ISN'T paying? We have got to put an end to this and take control of our investments. My gut feeling says we are being robbed over and over with nothing to show for it but a decaying building and MORE assessments!

  3. WE GOT THE WINDOWS TO PROTECT ARE INTEREST.THIS BOARD IS A LOT WORSE THAN ANY HURRICANE.
FRANK AND THE BOARD ARE BIG CROOKS,AND I HOPE THEY GO JAIL.
ALL THE IMPROVMENT LOOK LIKE A BOY SCOUT DID THEM.FROM THE CHEEP CARPET,AND THE CHEEPER INSTALLATION OF THE CARPET, TO THE FLAT PAINT THAT GETS DIRTY, TO THE HORRIABLE CROOKET CHEEP TILE THEY INSTALLED BY THE ELEVATORS.WHAT A JOKE.I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF THE BANKRUPT THE BUILDING,BECAUSE THEY KEEP STEELING FROM THE MAINTANENCE TO FIX UP THEIR UNITS!

  4. As an absentee owner and participant in the hotel rental program we are grateful for the blog that was created to allow us to voice our opinions on various subjects. Until now we had no reliable line of communication with the hotel administration or condo management staff with regard to questions that required their response. Hopefully, we can now receive the comments from other unit owners that essentially have the same problems.

We are not part of the current litigation involving the Board and other unit owners. However, we do have serious concerns relative to the legag statusof our condo as it may be affected by the General Bronze lien. We paid our $ 31,000
assessment in full and on time. If this money was passed on to General Bronze in payment of our debt then there should be no implications. If, in fact, it was mis-appropriated for other projects by the Board, where does that leave us. We need a legal opinion on this question immediately.

As to the special assessments slated for October and November, once again it doesn't seem right that those who pay their obligations should be penalized for a situation not of their making. In our opinion the whole window project was mis-managed from start to finish.

  5. this board is a disgusting discrace.
am sure frank will by the condo at a lost. as far as the increase, no one should pay it and let the case go to court.

  6. NO ONE WOULD BUY A UNIT IN A BUILDING THAT HAS NOT HAD CERTIFIED ACCOUNTING REPORTS.

I LIKE THE WAY FRANK SAID HE WOULD HAVE RICKS MAKE UP HIS REPORTS IN A FEW WEEKS(NOT CERTIFIED)

  7. I respect that the blog team is looking for positive comments. However, I think that he or she is naive or perhaps just oblivious to what occurs on a daily basis at OM. And on a POSITIVE note to the blog team - thank you for your work in creating and updating this site. We finally have open communication among the units owners. I hope it continues because we all want the best for OM unit owners.
