Quality of New Windows?

Hi Everyone,

I have heard people at the Ocean Manor state theat they are not satisfied with the new windows because of leaks, cracks, and gennerally poor installation.

Given that General bronze has put a lien on our building, I wonder if it would be a good idea to begin a suit against General Bronze.

This, of course, would mean that owners feel the windows and/or installation was not done as promised. Is this the case? Please let your opinion be known. This question is put out to owners who have installed the new General Bronze Windows only.

If enough people feel they are wronged, it makes sense to hire Joe Garrity (or another lawyer) to go after General Bronze.

Whether your opinion is favourable or unfavourable, please let the Blog readers know.

  1. Yes, our windows leak. The workmanship was shoddy as as was the handeling of the whole project.
Are people aware that the installers were allowed to move the windows on top of the elevators and one of the workers fell from on top of the elevator down into the shaft?
He was a 24 year old illegial immigrant, with no benefits from General Bronze (As he was hired as an independent contractor) so basically you now have a young man who is paralyzed with no means of support.
General Bronze DID NOT even go see him in the hospital, and when Frank Talerico was asked if he would go see him,his response was,
    "What for"?
Come on Frank, spread some of that money you stole and do the right thing.
The quality of the windows we paid for is not in line with a brand name, and they will continue leak and probably blow out in a storm.
Thank you Frank, for hoodwinking us again.

  3. Thats funny General Bronze said that everyone works for them. They think that they can give someone a $5.00 teeshirt with their name on it,and they are a employee!!Their is a lot more responsibalty, like workers comp insurance, and paying taxes. They are a fly by night company that was willing to play games with Frank!!!
They also said that they would make dust wall. That was one of the reasons they were so high. They never made a dust walls. They tore out the windows and let the dust fly all in the units.

  4. Looks like some OM owners will pay for their windows many times over:

First: What they paid to General Bronze or their own contractor for their windows.

Second: The cost of the money left over from what the BOD borrowed for windows and then didn't use return of use for windows. This seems to be part of the current assessment, but lacking audited financials, who really knows?

Third: What is costs owners to correct installation or window quality issues.

Fourth: What is costs to pay the lien by General Bronze, unless that's covered by the current assessment and assuming the money actually ever gets to General Bronze.

How about help from the state of Florida?

Here’s a link to a form for disgruntled OM owners to use to try to get some attention from the state:
