How bout owners parking spots?

Has anyone else had problems with their guests parking?

  1. My wife pulled in to a permit spot yesterday and one of the valets started to hassle her as if he wanted to use the spot for valet parking.

    She asked him why he was concerned about someone parking in an owner's permit spot. After some banter back and forth he recognized her and apologized.

    PS: Now that they are charging people $5 bucks to park across the street does anyone know if the association gets a piece of it? Also, are there checks and balances put in place to make sure every charged parking spot is accounted for?

  2. I think its rediculous that a maintainence paying owner might have to walk across the street so an employee of our association wouldn't have to run across the street! It's not nice to feel like a second class citizen when your pulling up to your own driveway!

  3. It is very hard to find a parking space if you are an owner.

    Our building is open to the public. This causes overcrowding and a lot of damage to the common areas.

    Repairs are done at our (the owners') expense.

I AM A UNIT OWNER FOR MANY YEARS AND IT SEEMS QUITE FUNNY THAT THE BOARD MEMEBERS HAVE THEIR SPECIAL PRIVELAGES IN WHICH THEY CAN PARK RIGHT UP IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING AND LEAVE THEIR CARS ANY WHERE. ALSO WHEN I HAVE GUESTS OR TENANTS AND THERE ARE SPECIAL EVENTS GOING ON THAT WE DID NOT VOTE FOR MY TENANTS AND GUESTS HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING ACROSS THE STREET WHICH ENABLES THEM TO PARK IN MY SPACE AND HOW IS THAT THE BAR PATRONS OR BEACH PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO PARK IN THE FIRE LANE OR IN THE DELIVERY ALLEY.

  5. I AM A OCEAN MANOR CONDO OWNER, THERE IS NO PARKING FOR ME THEY TAKE MY CAR AND PARK IT ACROSS THE STREET AND I AM AN OWNER!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE. THEIR GUESTS GET SPECIAL TREATMENT, I AM REFERRING TO HOTEL GUESTS IN WHICH IT SHOULD BE CONDO OWNERS FIRST NOT SECOND

  6. I RESIDE HERE AT THE OM HOW IS THAT THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD MEMEBERS ARE ALLOWED TO HAVE SPECIAL INTERESTS PRIVATELY, IS THAT NOT A CONFLICT OF INTEREST? FOR INSTANCE THE PRESIDENT OWNS ALL THE COMMERCIAL SPACE, RESTAURANT, TIKI BAR ETC..... WHEN HE HAS A SPECIAL EVENT LIKE A WEDDING OR A PARTY HE COMMENDERES ALL THE COMMON AREA AND THAT MEANS WHEN MY GUESTS AND I ARE AT THE POOL AREA WE HAVE TO LEAVE BECAUSE HE IS SETTING UP FOR HIS "SPECIAL EVENTS"! AND ON TOP OF THAT THE TIKI BAR WAS ENLARGED ON OUR COMMON AREA SEVERAL TIMES LARGER PLUS PUT HIS TABLES ON OUR COMMON AREA WITHOUT CONSENT FROM THE OWNERS OF THE CONDOS. THE BAR HAS HAD NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE NOISE FROM ADJOING CONDOS SO IT SEEMS LIKE THE BOARD DOES WHAT THEY WANT TO DO, NOT FAIR AND THEY FEEL THEY DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER TO ANYONE AT ALL.

  7. MY HUSBAND AND I ARE OWNERS HERE AT OCEAN MANOR. WE WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOU WHAT UNITS WE OWN, BUT WE CANT DO FOR THE REASON THAT WE WILL GET THREATS LIKE OTHER PEOPLE IN THIS BUILDING HAVE RECEIVED, ESPECIALLY THE SENIORS. THE HELP ALSO WERE TOLD NOT TO SPEAK TO ANYONE OR THEIR JOB WOULD BE IN JEOPARDY. WHAT KIND OF SHOW ARE THESE BOARD MEMBERS RUNNING HERE. WE NEVER GOT A BUDGET OR FINANCIAL STATEMENT. THEY OF THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY FROM DAY ONE SO THERE IS NO ONE TO ANSWER TO. ALSO WHEN THEY WERE INVOLVED WITH JEFF GAMBINO THEY HAD A SHREDDING PARTY FOR 2 WEEKS NOW WHY WAS THAT. ONCE AGAIN IT IS THE CONDO OWNER'S FIRST IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYTHING IS FOR THEIR GAIN MEANING THE BOARD. THEY CONTROL THE PARKING THEIR CUSTOMRS COME FIRST AND THIS HAS GOT TO END.

  8. I RESIDE HERE AT THE OCEAN MANOR AND ON SATURDAY I WAS HAVING GUESTS FOR DINNER AND BECAUSE OF THE PAGEANT THAT WAS GOING ON AT THE TIKI BAR THEY COULD NOT PARK, COME ON. A PAGEANT? THEY HAD A RUNWAY AT THE POOL, FOOD AND BAR STATIONS SET UP EVERYWHERE, WHAT IS THAT ALL ABOUT? THIS IS OUT OF HAND NOW. FIRST OF ALL PERMISSION SHOULD BE GRANTED FROM EVERY TENANT HERE AT THE OCEAN MANOR, NOT JUST WHAT THE BOARD SAYS. WE PAY TO LIVE HERE AND EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE A SAY SO. WE HAVE GOT TO GET THIS CLEARED UP IMMEDIATELY.

  9. THE PARKING HERE IS AWFUL AND BEING CHARGED THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING. WE NEED TO GET RID OF THE PEANUT GALLERY AND GET DARLENE BACK, COME ON PEOPLE LETS HAVE A VOTE FOR A NEW BOARD! IF EVERYONE WHO RESIDES HERE JUMPS IN AND GETS ON BOARD WE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, BUT WE NEED EVERYONE TO PARTICIPATE FOR RESULTS. SO COME ON LETS DO IT!

IT IS KIND OF FUNNY THAT THE BOARD HAS PRIORITY PARKING AND OUR CARS ARE PARKED ACROSS THE STREET WHERE THE PARKING LOT IS VANDALIZED, SLASHING OF TIRES AND THERE ARE REPORTS OF THESE INCIDENTS GO LOOK NOW PORSCHE AND TRUCK BOTH FLAT TIRES MY CAR HAS BEEN KEYED I HAVE TALKED TO NEIGHBORS WHERE CAR ANTENNAS HAVE BEEN BROKEN OFF, DENTED. SO WHY ARE US OWNERS PUTTING UP WITH THIS

  12. If the owners in the rental pool had any sense they would have pulled out long ago. The hotel rents the rooms cheap to the lowest class of people because the hotel makes far more money selling them food and liquor. The hotel's objective is to get as many drunks as possible on our property without any regard to the negative impact on the building. The owners are being taken for fools by the hotel operator and the sooner we wake up the better.

    The person who wrote it GAVE himself away by talking about his Porsche and truck (He forgot his other white truck, yes 3 vehicles!).

    He is NOT EVEN A CONDO OWNER, but rent's a studio and is writing in all these silly comments in rude capital letter's.

    Ken, please stop as your not helping the true cause but making a nuisance of yourself.

    Just because your mad that you were asked NOT to park any of your 3 cars in owner's space's, don't be writing silly comments.

    Stay at the Tiki bar and drink as you usually do, as we have enough problems here with you screaming in CAPITAL letter's all over The Blog when again, YOU DON'T OWN HERE.

  15. Dose anybody know the OM board members together are property owners of other properties in broward. Also whom is to be running for the OM board for the next electon ?
